1. Responsibilities Develop and launch the new product plan. In responsible of development of literature, catalogs, packs and promotional items. Ensuring that these are available to meet sales department and customer needs. Communicating and cooperating with Company Recommend additions and deletions of product approvals. Work with R&D to implement these. Cooperate with QA on Products warranty, certificate and audit. Monitor and report on warranty performance. Report on unusual or high warranty rates and initiate corrective actions where necessary. Attend sales meetings to maintain inter department communication on sales and product performance. Provide recommendations to management on future products, changes to current products, and product obsolescence. Support the recommendations with sales data and forecasts, customer feedback, and competitor information developed from appropriate market research. Review customer complaints and ensure that appropriate corrective actions have been taken. Maintain a database on electrode competitors in China. Report significant events and changes to management, make a full market research. To be aware of all welding industry related promotional events and exhibitions in China, and cooperated with SLE marketing department on Lincoln’s participation. Be in charge of sample management and information feedback. Comply with all policies and procedures implemented by the Company to satisfy legislative requirements, particularly OH&S, Financial and Employment legislation. Comply at all times with the Lincoln Electric Code of Corporate Conduct.

3. Knowledge & Skills Formal qualifications: Relevant Trade or Tertiary qualifications or equivalent. Typically Technical or University education in Welding, Metallurgy or metallic Material. Marketing qualifications are also valuable and may substitute for technical qualifications in some instances.
4. Experience: Experience in product management or marketing in the engineering industry in China. Specific welding industry experiences an advantage.
5. Skills Mechanical aptitude. Ability to weld and understand differences in welding performance is a definite plus. The ability to read and work with technical and material specifications Ability to write business technical and marketing reports and plans. Good spoken and written English Computer capability with Microsoft Office skills. Ability to anticipate long term opportunities, identifies business needs, and generates ideas.
6. Knowledge Broad knowledge of the engineering industry. Welding and metallurgy knowledge an advantage Ability to provide technical advice, service and support to internal and external customers.
7. Communication / interpersonal Well developed communication and interpersonal skills. (i)To advise and support customers and the company’s sales team on product or performance issues. (ii)To write technical and marketing documentation for internal or external use. (iii)To drive the market development process in a team environment, organizing and leading meetings as required. (iv)To gain the support and cooperation of personnel in many parts of the company to ensure that electrode marketing projects are brought to successful conclusion.
