A. Duties and Responsibilities • Provide technical concepts and solutions based on customers’ expectations and underlying needs with understanding of price expectations • Responsible for component selection, production drawings and accurate BOM details to facilitate manufacture of prototypes • Responsible for a proper transfer from the design stage to the prototype and later production stage in the workshop • Lead the assigned products in design, manufacturing, quality control throughout the whole product life cycle; • Create and maintain product design and manufacturing standards and documentation system, provide technical support to Sales, Production and QC; • Participate in troubleshooting for enhancing product performance and reliability; • Coordinate with Purchasing and Sourcing team for component sourcing and part confirmation; • Continuous improvement for existing products in reliability and cost matters; • Ensure product designs assist and improve the manufacturability of the product Critical Core Competencies (Choose maximum 5 : Please refer to appendix for guide) • Communication • Creativity & Innovation • Collaboration and team work • Functional /Technical credibility • Systematic problem solving
B.Education and Qualifications University degree in Mechanical design or refrigeration system. Prefer to certificated design engineer
C.Experience
5 years or above working experience in products’ research, design or manufacturing; Experience in design commercial kitchen products; Familiar with appliance regulations; refrigeration and heating system; Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication process
D.Other useful skills and competencies Fluency in English, can communicate in technical issues in English Sufficiency in MS-office, Autocad, and 3D software Skilled in performing FMEA and Six sigma analysis.
