Brief Description

The primary duties of this position are to direct and manage sourcing team with overall responsibility for supplier sourcing, supplier management and other purchasing-related activities.

 

Detailed Description           

1.    Be responsible for sourcing and procurement of materials.

2.    Perform as a Team Leader and help the team prioritize and deliver business results balanced with their personal development and fulfillment; including people development plan and career coaching.

3.    Develop supply base/commodity strategies and take lead on Global Commodity Business Plan.

4.    Development & utilization of analytical tools to deliver Best in Class pricing (Cost Models, Benchmarking, Market Intelligence).

5.    Management of annual/multi-year pricing agreements.

6.    Source programs and manage Sourcing Agreements in accordance with Aligned Business Framework.

7.    Manage relationships and develop strategy with suppliers and internal customers around supply, quality, and part launches, resourcing and capacity planning.

8.    Monitoring of quality/supply/financial health of supply base incl. follow-up on further development and establishment of back-up plan in case of risk.

9.    Drive material related cost reduction programs working with local site, CPTs and business center teams to achieve cost reduction target annually.

 

Job Requirements

1.      Bachelor’s degree or above.

2.      Above 5 Years of purchasing experience in related areas especially familiar with production process such as machining, stamping, molding, electronics, etc. 

3.      Expertise in cost engineering.

4.      Project definition and Management skills.

5.      Time management skill.

6.      Good knowledge of supplier selecting and development procedures, and understanding of Quality operating systems.

7.      Excellent communications, negotiating, conflict management, and problem solving skills.

8.      Team player with ‘can do’ attitude.

9.      Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task. Self directed and driven for success (goal oriented). Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.

10.   Understand the basic finance tools used in company.

11.   Strong focus on driving continuous improvement.

12.   Result-orientated. Able to manage internal and external resource to achieve goals and objectives.

13.   Good coaching skills. Good people management skills.

14.   Good English language ability in reading, writing and speaking.

15.   Goal oriented, internally driven and good decision maker.

16.   Skills preferable not mandatory
